The Little House of Arts is a creative art studio that offers inspiring art classes and workshops with various instructors, ladies nights, birthdays, badge opportunities, open studios, and events. Our goal has always been to provide a place for children and adults to express themselves while building self-esteem in the process. We believe that art is a powerful tool for personal growth and learning, and we're passionate about sharing that belief with others. 


Our studio is a welcoming and supportive environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their skills. We offer a range of classes and workshops for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced artists. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential, and we're committed to providing a positive and inspiring learning experience.

About Us

Julie manifested a dream to open The Little House of Arts 23 years ago. Lauri came on board several years ago, and it has been a great journey of creative minds and artistic adventures. Various instructors offer classes and workshops throughout the year that will be listed, but the core classes are taught by Julie and Lauri.

Julie Hawkins

Owner/ Artist/ Instructor

Julie Hawkins

Julie has a degree from Lesley College in Therapeutic & Creative Arts  in Education and has studied in a variety of places, including the Museum School in Boston & Mass Art. Julie is also educated in holistic studies & psychology, which add to her awareness and ability to bring out the best in people and help them learn to express themselves. Her teaching style is one of nurturing, inspiration, education and personal expression. Having traveled extensively, Julie also brings her love of various cultures into her classes, as well as her love for animals.

Lauri Jacobucci

Artist/ Instructor

Lauri Jacabucci

Lauri has a BFA in sculpture from Mass Art. She worked in the education department at Holy Hill Farm for years and joined the studio many moons ago, bringing her love of nature, animals, and creativity. Lauri is inspired by the Muppets, whales, Shel Silverstein, walks in the woods, dark starry nights, and gardening. 

Patrick Niebauer

Patrick Niebauer is a Scituate resident and a part-time freelance illustrator and artist who got hooked on comic books and Saturday morning cartoons as a kid and has been drawing for as long as he can remember. He trained in studio art and figure drawing through coursework at Colgate University and the Torpedo Factory in his hometown of Alexandria, Virginia. He has recently trained with the Comic Pro Bootcamp, formed and run by artists whose work has appeared in Marvel, DC and Image Comics, and is comfortable drawing anything from well-known cartoon, video game and comic book characters to photo-realistic portraits. Patrick works mainly on commissioned portraits of characters or people drawn on comic book illustration board or blank variant covers, and has shown and sold his work at shows including FanExpo Boston, Rhode Island Comic Con, and Wicked Comic Con.

Danielle Driscoll

Watercolor Artist/Instructor

Danielle is a self-trained watercolor artist and designer. She began her creative journey with her popular website, Finding Silver Pennies. Her stationary line is available online and in local retailers. Her work as been featured in Yankee Magazine, South Shore Home Life and Style, and more
